PROJECT PURPOSES:
To improve the quality and the labour market relevance of education and training programmes to facilitate transition from school to work of VET students and to enhance employability of VET graduates.
ACTIVITIES:
Result 1 / Task 1: Support to three selected VET Schools T1/A1: Technical assistance at central and local level for the implementation of the support to three selected VET Schools T1/A2: Development of modern and adequate Qualification Sets (OS, Curricula, TLM, etc.) T1/A3: Renovation works and equipment provision for the workshops of selected profiles in supported VET Institutes T1/A4: Capacity development of Teaching Staff T1/A5: Development of new technologies that can improve the planning and the implementation of the teaching, the learning or the assessment process of teachers and students T1/A6: Implementation of the BMO in three VET School and capacity development for management T1/A7: Support to the regular implementation of Work-Based Learning (Professional Practice) in VET Institutes T1/A8: Implementing new costing mechanisms and financial monitoring tools in target VET Schools T1/A9: Strengthening links with the Private Sector in target VET Schools T1/A10: Communication and Visibility activities planned within the Task 1 Result 2 / Task 2: Support to the establishment and the implementation of a National Graduates Tracking System T2/A1: Technical assistance at central and local level to support the establishment and implementation of a National Graduates Tracking System T2/A2: Support the development of the legal framework regulating Tracer Studies (TS) at national level and of the operational guidelines T2/A3: Support the implementation of full-scale Tracer Studies at national level T2/A4: Awareness raising campaign within the school communities about the importance of Tracer Studies and the role of graduates in the process T2/A5: Support the development of an online national platform for tracer studies data management T2/A6: Communication and Visibility activities planned within the Task 2 Result 3 / Task 3: Support to the establishment and the implementation of a National RPL System T3/A1: Technical Assistance at central and local level to support the establishment and implementation of a National RPL System T3/A2: Awareness raising campaign on RPL opportunities and investigation on the future priority profiles to be targeted T3/A3: Develop the needed qualification sets OS, curricula and TLM) to implement RPL for the targeted profiles T3/A4: Support interested institutions in providing RPL in the process of preparation of applying for accreditation in the selected profiles T3/A5: Support NQA in the process of evaluating RPL providers’ applications for accreditation and providing trainings to RPL related staff T3/A6: Support NQA in providing trainings to RPL providers, coordinators, mentors, internal appraisers and external appraisers T3/A7: Formalise the engagement of the private sector on RPL implementation through formal partnerships for the development of complementary on-job training, participation on assessment panels and use of companies’ facilities and equipment T3/A8: Establish the legal framework and operational arrangements for including RPL as a complementary active labour market measure available for registered jobseekers, to be implemented through the National Employment Agency in cooperation with Vocational Training Centres T3/A9: Communication and Visibility activities planned within the Task 3
RESULTS:
Result 1: Planning and provision of vocational education is responsive to the needs of learners and employers in selected vocational schools Result 2: Graduate tracking system is in place in the field of VET to ensure the consistent evidence on graduate employability and skills relevance to labour market needs Result 3: Arrangements and provision of recognition of prior learning (RPL) at Kosovo level are in place and operational in the most needed economic sectors/occupations as a form of employment enhancement and lifelong learning opportunities for adult learners
