PROJECT PURPOSE:
Contribute to the creation of a single, comprehensive upgraded system with civil status data in Kosovo

ACTIVITIES:
• Performing assessments/reviews of the relevant existing frameworks • Developing relevant operational procedures • Ensuring the availability of relevant IT software and hardware • Comparing all e-archive records to CCSR records in view to identify those pertaining to the same individual • Ensuring all e-archive metadata correspond exactly to those in the respective image • Creating electronic links among records pertaining to the same individual • Ensuring the ability by CRA personnel to utilise new tools • Ensuring access to the new system by MCSOs • Piloting implementation in one municipality • Ensuring full involvement of key CRA personnel in the piloting so as to enable them to replicate the exercise in all other Kosovo municipalities
RESULTS:
1. All e-archive and Central Civil Status Register (CCSR) records pertaining to the same individual are electronically linked 2. Municipal Civil Status Offices (MCSOs) can utilise data from the certified-copy e-archive in a coherent and consistent manner
