Diversifying and Improving Beekeeping
OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
The global objective of this grant scheme is to support improved access to and competitiveness on the national and international markets for Kosovo's agri-rural goods and services.

Target group: the owner, 5 new women as beekeepers, new employees, current staff; Finale beneficiaries: other beekeepers, consumers, input dealers, better environment etc.
PROJECT PURPOSES:
With this investment the company intends to invest in processing activities, to introduce 2 new products and to improve the food hygiene and quality standards though investment in the standard implementation.
ACTIVITIES:
-Building for the processing facility 200sqm including HACCP safety standards, height 5m. -Investment on Organic certification of Fatbleta L.L.C. -Investment in the renewable energy 5 KW -Bee feed production line (duplicator 1000 L); -Equipment for production of bee poison (bee venom); -Pollen traps Equipment; -Equipment of processing wax; -EU food safety standards implementation; -Providing beekeepers with trainings
RESULTS:
-Total capacities for sales at 2021 - exceed 100,000 EUR; -Increase number of beehives after two year to 1,000 beehives; -2 new employees both women FTE; Organic certification is obtained; -5 women dealing in this area with beekeeping -Increasing honey by 30% compare with baseline; -the production of honey is 5,000 kg; -construction completed with local and international standards; -company produces additionally 2 apiculture products: royal jelly and bee venom) and 6 products are labelled.
