How Do I See You?
OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
The overall objective of the project is to create an opportunity for youth from Kosovo and Serbia to engage in meaningful exchange that goes beyond the dialogue. The action in its essence aims to create better-informed and more active citizens in Kosovo and Serbia from youth of today, and in this process addressing one of the main problems of democracy in both countries, that of ethnocentric narratives that are fuelling the hatred instead of bridging the gap.

PROJECT PURPOSES:
• Create an opportunity for youth from Kosovo and Serbia to engage in meaningful exchange that goes beyond the dialogue. • Create better-informed and more active citizens in Kosovo and Serbia from youth. • Initiate dialogue and raise awareness on human rights among the youth through film and audio-visual content, and increase their media literacy, thus deconstructing social stereotypes. • Develops the skills of the youth to appropriately analyse and address misperceptions, prejudices and hate speech that are dispensed through traditional and digital media. • Increase the capacities of youth to critically asses the media and audio-visual narratives with specific focus on dealing with the past, tolerance and hate speech that leads to violent behavior, thus strengthening their awareness and immunity to ethnocentric media narratives contributing to increased hate-speech. • Contribute to an increased cooperation between local professional groups to stimulate initiatives of common interests • In addition the project will build the skills, acquire knowledge and equipment to youth to create films on dealing with the past, identity and sexual identity, gender equality and inter-ethnic relations and with the opportunity to participate in the exchange program with their films in Serbia and Kosovo and engage in the discussions on issues raised in their films.
ACTIVITIES:
• Film and Student Program exchange. • Audio visual content development through intercultural exchange cmaps for offline and online distribution. • Multimedia Education for Media Literacy and Awareness. • Exchange of Filmmakers and Social Influencers.
RESULTS:
• Up to 120 students from Kosovo and Serbia engaged in exchange program through 6 Intercultural Spring and Autumn Camps “How Do I See You?” • Up to 120 visual portraits exhibited through 6 exhibitions • Up to 60 students from both countries acquire skills to make films on dealing with the past • Up to 12 short stories (5-10 min) from opposite perspectives • At least 1 Omnibus (1 hr film authored by 12 participants). • Up to 12 Master Classes during both festivals • Up to 18 identified events interepreted thoruhg 72 media narratives. • 6 exhibition displaying the portrats and media narratives • Separate website developed in the second year of the project and tested for social communication. Fully launched on the third/final year of the project
