PROJECT TITLE:

Increasing competitiveness and energy efficiency of organic blueberry production

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

The global objective of this grant scheme is to support improved access to and competitiveness on the national and international markets for Kosovo's agri-rural goods and services.

BENEFICIARIES:

Target group: NATURE-GROUP S&V D.O.O., members of the Jevremovic family, current full-time employers/seasonal worker and jobs created after investment and Finale beneficiaries: international market – Eu buyers and local farmers, local tax administration, better environment etc.

PROJECT PURPOSES:

Intends to build the capacities of company to be competitive on the international market through use of good practices and innovative technologies. By acquiring new equipment will increase yield, quality and competitiveness.

ACTIVITIES:

-well, 150 m; -equipment with a new pump station; -fertilizer and the irrigation control system; -cold storage protection with CO2 absorber; -installation off-grid solar panels 30 KW, -anti-hail protection system for 2 ha; -fruit tractor with accompanying company (post hole digger, hydraulic forklift, mulcher, etc.

RESULTS:

-Production during 2020 – 40 MT blueberry; -Provide technical support and logistic to 10 blueberry farmers; -selling to international markets (contracts) -Horizontal integration and organization of agriculture producers – is reflected in the provision of the logistical and technical support (good agricultural practices; -fruit tractor with accompanying blueberry planting equipment); -improvement of farms productivity and quality production, cold storage protection with CO2, the absorber is the latest technical solution for storing blueberries. -Increase the amount of water from 4 Litres to 8 Litres per day on the following years.
