The overall objective of the action is to promote long-term commitment in giving the citizens a voice to influence the public sector reforms through evidence based programs, analysis, monitoring, and concrete advocacy initiatives.

PROJECT PURPOSES:
• Improve Air Quality by reducing the main air pollutants • Increase participation of residents in the advocacy campaigns for the preservation of air quality • Increase businesses’ awareness to install anti-pollutant filters
TARGET AREA:
Municipalities of Pejë/Peć, Gjakovë/Djakovica
BENEFICIARIES:
Beneficiaries from the activities of the Action include: residents, local authorities and private sector.
ACTIVITIES:
• Real-time air quality monitoring and reporting • Capacity building and practices for maintaining air quality in local authorities • Raising awareness of citizens to participate in air conservation advocacy • Organizing activities for cleaning and greenery • Activation of the private sector in air purification • Identification of major air pollutants and monitoring their activity • Involvement of residents in air purification practices • Activation of a committee for local air quality supervision
RESULTS:
The main results to be achieved during the implementation of the Action or in its immediate aftermath include: • Reduction of air pollution by 3% • Engagement of at least 1000 citizens affected by air pollution in advocacy activities to raise their voice for the rights to a clean air • At least three businesses air polluters equipped with anti-pollution filters • Local policy infrastructure enhanced through approval of sub-legal acts • Promotion of project activities in local and social media
