PROJECT TITLE:

Renovation of the Haxhi Zeka school's yard in Istog/Istok

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

The implementation of the project aims to contribute to development of sports and educational activities as well as improve working conditions in order to have working environment in accordance with contemporary standards and generation of new job opportunities.

BENEFICIARIES:

97 new job opportunities were created, including for 95 persons (97,93%) registered as long term unemployed at the Employment Centre within the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. Out of 95, 5 disabled persons (5,26%), 12 from minority groups (12,63%), 9 women (9,47%) and 16 youth (16,84%) were employed. (the contracted company also provided on the job training for 14 workers selected from the Employment Centre, improving their skills and abilities and making them more competitive at the free labour market) As final beneficiaries are 1150 students of the high school as well approximately 38,000 inhabitants of Istog/Istok Municipality will benefit from the Project.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Renovated School yard and improvement of existing sport field into multifunctional sport court, construction of walking paths, installation of fences, lighting, benches and trash bins and creation of green area. 97 new employments created.
