PROJECT PURPOSES:

Fulfilment of the rights to equal education, of children and adolescents with special needs and those coming from vulnerable communities in Kosovo (6-14 years of age), through engagement of national and local level actors in the formal education system in order to build capacities and create an enabling environment for inclusive education (IE).

ACTIVITIES:

1.1 Assessment of the current situation of IE in schools, in targeted municipalities and preparation of the Training of Trainers (ToT) program: baseline study; PIN prepares the ToT for CSOs; PIN delivers the ToT for CSOs; Coaching and mentoring of CSOs by PIN experts; 1.2 Developing and submitting for accreditation the training program Focused on IE; 1.3 Train the Teachers Programme preparation phase: selection of participating schools, selection of school staff; 1.4 Delivery of the training for 225 teachers and school staff by partner CSOs; 1.5 Prepare and publish IE Catalogue; 2.1 Internship programme preparation phase: mentor selection; developing the methodology; target group identification; preparing the guidelines; call for applications; selection process; 2.2 Programme implementation – interns provide direct support to children in schools 2.3 Regular meetings with mentors, interns and selected schools, for monitoring and support; 3.1 Initial meeting with key stakeholders; 3.2 Quarterly meetings between CSOs, Local Administration, parents councils and schools; Ref. Ares(2020)802203 - 07/02/2020 2 3.3 Drafting and submitting policy proposals at municipal for supporting on long-term basis the internship program for teacher assistants, psychologists, pedagogues and speech therapist in public schools' system; 3.4 Developing Action Plans for implementation of these policies; 3.5 Closing event;

1. Enhancing the capacity of key stakeholders to provide high quality services of certified inclusive education 2. Improved coordination and increased resources for inclusive education at local level
