Generating alternative income by diversifying agri-rural activities in rural communities
OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
The global objective of this grant scheme is to support improved access to and competitiveness on the national and international markets for Kosovo's agri-rural goods and services.

PROJECT PURPOSES:
Intends to diversify rural agricultural activities, to increase farm productivity and quality, set up a horizontal integration with ten contracted farmers, promote socio-economic integration of women and improvement environment through solar panels and the treatment of waste to natural fertilizers.
ACTIVITIES:
-Investment in two glasshouses per each size 32m long and 10m wide, height 6m the greenhouse production area is going to be 30m length and 1m total size 300sqm. In the greenhouse entrance is a space of 20sqm (10m width and 2m length), will relate to the greenhouse and separate with glasses. This space of 20sqm will be used for storage another glasshouse equipment; -Installed systems necessary for the glass greenhouses, such as ventilation, heating, lighting, irrigation, CO2 dosing, and shade; -Intervention on the riverbed for protecting glasshouses from floods 300m long and 6m width and then the river the wall is constructed. -Establishing vegetable storage 300sqm, height 3m; two chambers 400m3 and 100sqm space for preparation and classification of products included: washing machine, inspection transporter, working table, and box pallet tripper -Investment of waste management – build a storage room 32 sqm, Van, forklift, etc. -Solar panels -Purchase a small tractor
RESULTS:
-Production peppers 6,000kg, cucumbers 5,000kg, tomatoes 50,000kg, broccoli 1,200 pieces, lettuces 600kg, spinach 500kg, watermelon 90,000kg, garlic 200kg, onions 925kg and white beans300 kg. -10 contracts with new farmers;
