TARGET GROUPS:

DPOs and DPO Network's (Kosovo, Western Balkan Region) PWD's and their families/carers, Kosovo Assembly, Government, media.

BENEFICIARIES:

Peoples with disabilities, PWDs and all society, all sectors –democratic participation/labour/ health/ education/welfare.

ACTIVITIES:

1. Based on long-standing cooperation between Finish and Kosovar DPOs building up the capacity of the Kosovo Disability Forum. 2. Accessibility workshops for national and local level decision -makers and administrators together with DPOs, sharing and learning based in Finnish experiences. 3. Building up a Kosovar model for DPOs advocacy work. Background study on current legislation and policies. Peer support from Finland regarding effective advocacy towards the inclusion of PWDs.

RESULTS:

Greater inclusiveness of the governance and public administration reforms which will lead to improved accessibility for and inclusion of people with disabilities in all sectors. Strengthened dialogue between DPOs and the Assembly, the Government and local level administration in all sectors. Improved capacity of the DPOs and their networks in evidence –based advocacy.
