Solidifying the resilience of Kosovo's current and future journalists

To bring together the journalists, media professionals, media outlets, civil society, young media talent and the public in order to increase awareness, recognition and support for professional journalism solidifying a sustainable democracy in Kosovo.

PROJECT PURPOSES:

The action purposes are: 1) Strengthening the capacities of media to conduct investigative journalism into the spending of public fund, monopolies in public contracts and corrupt practices in different institutions 2) Promote fact-checking and document-based reporting standards with the aim of fighting breaches of the code of ethics in the media 3) Promote human rights, inter-ethnic investigative teams and rule of law through meaningful and good quality programmes 4) Engage young media talent in using creative filmmaking techniques leading to the creation of media content

Journalists, civil society organisations, media professionals, public officials, students of journalism, young talents, media workers and public at large

ACTIVITIES:

A1: Produce and broadcast 60 in-depth investigative reports A2: Produce 10 TV programs to discuss findings derived from the most challenging investigative reports A3: Launching an awareness raising campaign on identifying and countering fake news A4: Research, write and publish 40 fact-checking analyses to identify fake news A5: Organise 3 two-days intensive-training workshops aimed at enhancing professional skills for journalists A6: Produce and broadcast 12 TV programs promoting human rights, social issues and the rule of law A7: Produce 5 documentaries on minority communities in Kosovo A8: Build capacities of Albanian and Serbian journalists in Kosovo to be able to talk both languages, Albanian and Serbian A9: Organise filmmaking courses for 75 youth with production and publication of videos included A10: Organize 10 training sessions for 200 high school students mentoring them to produce 50 videos and articles
