Support to Kosovo Veterinary and Food Agency (KVFA) in upgrading and functionalizing information technology systems and increasing its capacity to implement an integrated approach to food safety.

Project Activities Project activities include: Activity 1.1 Analyse business and develop requirements specification; Activity 1.2 Develop system architecture; Activity 1.3 Prepare technical specifications and bill of quantities for procurement of hardware; Activity 1.4 Development; Activity 1.5 Validation and integration testing; Activity 1.6 User Acceptance Testing; Activity 1.7 Training; Activity 1.8 Go-Live; Activity 1.9 Supervising and streamlining implementation. Activity 2.1 Analyse business and develop requirement specification; Activity 2.2 Develop system architecture; Activity 2.3 Propose to FVA a detailed information and management system for all stages of laboratory work; Activity 2.4 Development; Activity 2.5 Validation and integration testing; Activity 2.6 User Acceptance Testing; Activity 2.7 Training; Activity 2.8 Go-Live and Activity 2.9 Practical use of the LIMS system together with the Beneficiary.

RESULTS:

The Project aims to achieve this objective through the implementation of two project components: Component 1: Food Control and Traceability Management System (FCMS) established within KVFA services and functional; and Component 2: Laboratory Information System (LIMS) for Food Safety and Animal Health Laboratory designed and implemented.
