Upgrading of capacity and product range of GRM IMPEX D.O.O.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

The global objective of this grant scheme is to support improved access to and competitiveness on the national and international markets for Kosovo's agri-rural goods and services.

BENEFICIARIES:

Target group: GRM Impex D.O.O. onwer, 4 existing employees, 10 existing seasonal employees, 3 new full employees, and 20 new seasonal employees, construction companies, 1000 household and small farmers etc. Finale beneficiaries: consumers in Kosovo, wholesalers, Vipa chips factory in Vushtrri, Factory Chips in Serbia, Radosavljevic Company in Belgrade, better environment for local people etc.

PROJECT PURPOSES:

With this investment, the company wants to increase the production area for potatoes and increasing trading capacity for potatoes but also to increase the number of other agriculture products it will trade (soft fruits and dried wild fruits).

ACTIVITIES:

-Storage building (large chambers) and equipment (internal roads 65m*3m around 190sqm, concrete walkways, and fences); -Purchase machinery: forklift, dryer machine, shredding machine, mechanical shaker with conveyor for calibrating berries, packing and vacuum machine; -Additional tractors, two-line potatoes extractor and irrigation system to expand production to new 10 ha, expanding collection products from potatoes to agricultural products (plums, onions, apples, blueberries, raspberries, mushrooms); -chopping and vacuum packaging for mushrooms and plums; -Implementing hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP), installing solar panels 30 KW.

RESULTS:

-Expanding production capacity of potatoes to 10 ha; -Improved average yield to 35MT/ha (at least 25% increase based in current baseline) -Increase yearly production, collecting and trading of potatoes to 350-400MT (at least increasing by 100% based in current baseline); -Expanding product range through activity diversification collection of the different products: onions, plums, apple, mushrooms, blueberries, raspberry, etc.; -To introduce and implement HACCP; -Installed solar panels will contribute combating the climate changes and reducing outgoings; -Implementation standards and quality control;
