ACTVITIES:
• Monitoring about 20 tenders at the ministerial and municipal level; • Monitor and analyse the Special Service Agreement (SSA) contracts; • Producing and publishing two monitoring reports generated from direct monitoring of the 20 selected tenders; • Draft and publish one (1) monitoring report on the findings of the research on engagement of SSA contracts; • Organising 7 meetings with business community across Kosovo municipalities; • Holding one day workshop with about 20 municipal officials on gathering feedback on challenges of current procurement legislation and opportunities for the new one; • Publish three investigative articles; • Hold around 30 media appearances through participation in televised debates or interviews for online and TV media outlets; • Produce three infographics highlighting key findings of the monitoring reports; • Preparing three (3) policy briefs on current affairs related to the areas of public procurement and corruption; • Issue fast reactions to government / public through social media and traditional media; • Exercising public pressure on public institutions to address recommendations provided through advocacy meetings;
RESULTS:
Project results will be based on the following elements: • Identification of informal practices which breach the Law on public procurement; • Publishing of flaws identified and providing recommendations to institutions for improvement; • Cooperation with public institutions as contracting authorities and economic operators for a better implementation of the Law on public procurement; • Encourage cooperation • Preparation of sound research on public procurement and advocate to public institutions to perform better in public procurement tender procedures; • Social media is utilised as a mean to promote policy briefs and activities that engage citizens to contribute to policy making;
