PROJECT PURPOSES:

The project aims to expand the civic space where citizen will, not only acquire information on government initiative for justice reform, but also contribute to the quality of the whole process and ultimately lead to a growing sense of public ownership over the whole process.

ACTIVITIES:

Activity I.1. Drafting and publication of research paper “The role and capacities of the Assembly of Kosovo in Judicial Reform in Kosovo” Activity I.2. Monitoring the legislative process during the parliamentary review of the package of draft-laws - constituent part of Judicial Reform. Activity I.3. Parliamentary research during the committee deliberation of draft-laws. Activity I.4. Public hearings of parliamentary committee. Activity II.1. Three (3) periodic surveys will be conducted with the support of a local professional polling company. Activity II.1. Two (2) TV debates with judicial reform stakeholders. Activity II.2. Awareness and Advocacy Campaign (April 2022 – December 2022) will consist of a series of outreach activities aiming at better informing the public and targeted audiences on the reform progress as well as to advocate on specific reform issues as identified during the project implementation. Activity II.3. Judicial Reform – Progress Report. Activity II.4. End-of-Project Event– is the final activity of the project with all relevant project partners. The activity itself will be the launch event of the Progress Report.

RESULTS:

RI. Improved draft-laws and other legal acts (administrative instructions and regulations) leading to a well-informed and more implementable judicial reform. RII. Better understanding and increased awareness of the judicial reform by the elected representatives (MPs) and the general public.
