DIRECT BENEFICIARY:

The direct beneficiaries of the project include girls and women aged 14 - 30 from targeted municipalities in Kosovo, who will receive training in cybersecurity, digital skills, and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, participants in Girls in ICT Conference, panel discussions, workshops, social campaigns, and the Paris Women in Tech Global Summit will benefit from knowledge exchange, networking opportunities, and advocacy efforts focused on gender equality in technology.

PROJECT PURPOSES:

The project aims to empower and educate girls and women in Kosovo in the fields of cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI), demystify AI, promote gender equality in tech, and create a supportive environment for their career development in technology-related professions.

ACTIVITIES:

• Demystifying Artificial Intelligence through talks with AI experts during the Girls in ICT Conference. • Training girls in cyber threats and gender-based cybersecurity through intensive courses. • Training women in Artificial Intelligence to understand its basics and applications. • Launching two social campaigns addressing cybersecurity and the impact of AI. • Organizing panel discussions about AI and women's representation during DOKU.TECH editions. • Sending representatives to the Paris Women in Tech Global Summit for knowledge exchange and networking. • Advocating for gender-inclusive policies in education and tech sectors at the national level.

RESULTS:

• Increased knowledge and awareness among girls and women about cybersecurity threats and gender-specific challenges. • Improved digital skills and cybersecurity knowledge among participants, leading to a safer online environment. • Enhanced understanding of AI and its applications, empowering women to leverage AI for problem-solving and innovation. • Expanded network and opportunities for girls and women in tech through workshops, panels, and international conferences.
