Expanding into the international market by improving the quality of wine

The global objective of this grant scheme is to support improved access to and competitiveness on the national and international markets for Kosovo's agri-rural goods and services.

Target group: “Bodrumi Vjeter” owners, current staff, 8 new employees, construction companies, 25 farmers contracted by winery – horizontal integrated; Final beneficiaries: Local and international consumers, input dealers, better environment for rural people etc.

PROJECT PURPOSES:

With this investment, the company intends increasing the capacity and quality of wine production, increase storage capacities, empowerment women and reduce negative environmental negative impact. To increase production capacity, storage and wine quality the Action seeks to modernize winery and open 8 new jobs position for the local community while cooperating with 25 new farmers. The Action will be dedicated to expanding into the international market by improving the quality of the wine. This Action will be focused more on white wine and special premium white wine. The grape will be checked and separated by special machinery that allows only the first-class grapes to be used to produce white wines, creating unique taste with high-quality.

ACTIVITIES:

-Construct a standardized wine storage unit; -Constructing an exterior protective wall for the wine storage; -Install new cooling systems for wine fermenters; -Install new pumps that reduce electricity costs by 10%; -Purchase 15 fermenter tank for white wine fermentation (10 fermenters 10T and 5 fermenters 5 T); -To set up vertical integration with 25 wine local farmers; -Purchase 4 micro vinification (3T) fermenters and 1 micro vinification line; -Purchase 4 depositor tanks (one 200T, one 250T and two 300T for wine storage;

RESULTS:

-Increased export of wine for at least 20%; -install new pumps that reduce electricity expenses by 10%; -cooperating with 25 farmers out of them 8 women;
