International Business College Mitrovica 2018-2022

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

To build positive community relations and to promote sustainable multi-ethnic collaboration providing practice oriented business education for all ethnic groups in the region. To increase the social and economic stability in northern Kosovo, through cross-community business education.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

To increase social and economic stability in Kosovo, through cross community business and management education. Through business oriented education IBC-M will build up an integrated centre of excellence for education of innovation for the youths of all ethnicities in Kosovo 1. Reconciliation and advancement of all ethnic groups in Kosovo, through enabling high quality vocational education to social-economically deprived groups 2.IBC-M has become a sustainable, inclusive and a growing high quality HEI that provides skills and knowledge needed for the modern labour market

PROJECT PURPOSES:

1. Professionals ready to work in multi-ethnic teams; 2. Recruiting socio-economic and ethnically mixed students; 3. Integrating and encouraging cross-community interactions at IBC-M; 4. Improving the quality of skills and competencies of students needed for the modern labour market through academic excellence; 5. Providing career centre services and ensuring 100% of students in internships; 6. Extending international accreditation and licence from MEST; 7. Increase employability of graduates through capacity building approach; 8. Enrol 500 new students in next 4 academic years; 9. Creating regional centre of excellence through research and innovation that connects Kosovo, the region, and the global community; 10. Extending the network of local and international partners; 11. Achieving financial sustainability.

RESULTS:

1. Reconciliation through education; 2. Foster quality higher vocational education growth and youth employment; 3. Recruiting 35% - 40% students from non-Albanian communities; 4. 500 students to be enrolled by 2022; 5. 12 SMEs trained/re-trained 9 start-ups launched (students/community) 6. 22 Info Days, 22 Entry Exams, 20 social events and 12 career events organised, 7. 4 innovation conferences and 10 projects; 8. 1 new Masters programme launched with three specializations; 9. Company Specific programme presented; 10. 2. Faculty development plans produced and implemented; 11. 800 students registered in IBC-M English Programmes; 12. 30% of the students have internships abroad; 13. 10 MoUs (Memoranda of Understanding) with international companies for internship possibilities signed; 14. 350 graduates by 2022; 15. Alumni association established and functional, 1 alumni conference organised; 16. Expert network established.
