PROJECT TITLE:

Renovation of the City Park in Viti/Vitina

OVERAL OBJECTIVE:

The implementation of the project aims to contribute to revitalization of the City Park and improvement of living and environmental conditions for the citizens of Viti/Vitina Municipalit as well as the generation of the new job opportunities.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Revitalization of the existing park through construction of amphitheater, fountains and children playgrounds, creation of green area, installation of lighting, benches and garbage bins. 53 new employments created.

BENEFICIARIES:

53 new job opportunities were created, including for 41 persons (77,35%) registered as long term unemployed at the Employment Centre within the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. Out of 41, 4 from minority groups (9,75%) and 1 woman (2,43%) were employed. (the contracted company also provided on the job training for 12 workers selected from the Employment Centre, improving their skills and abilities and making them more competitive at the free labour market). As final beneficiaries are approximately 48,000 inhabitants of Viti/Vitina Municipality that will benefit from the Project.
