DIREKTNI KORISNIK:
A. 150 women from the age group 18-65 years old, particularly those from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds. These are women living in three targeted municipalities: Dragash/ Dragas, Novobërdë/ Novo Brdo and Graqanicë/Gracanica, who will benefit from capacity-building programs and mentoring support leading to improved representation and gender equality. B. 30 public officials, decision-makers and stakeholders, at local level, responsible for gender equality,human rights and socio-economic development. Local authorities, institutions and departments and relevant stakeholders will be invited to take part in the project especially related to organization of info sessions and community events to raise awareness among women about their rights and promote gender equality. C. 5 CSOs working on gender equality, human rights and women empowerment. The project will work closely with 5 CSOs to improve the implementation and coordination of existing human rights mechanisms. This will be done by increasing the capacities of 20 individuals, part of these CSOs. D. 540 citizens, mostly women, from three targeted municipalities, supporting the initiative to empower women and support their efforts to promote advance and defend their rights. These citizens will be reached as part of the advocacy and awareness campaigns on gender equality, women empowerment and human rights.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
To empower women’s Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and to support their efforts to promote, advance and defend human rights of women and consolidate their role as actors for positive change
PROJECT PURPOSES:
To support women’s integration as well as prevention and fight against all forms of discrimination against women in 3 Kosovo municipalities - Dragash/Dragas, Novobërdë/Novo Brdo and Graqanicë/Gracanica towards promotion of gender balance, human rights and women empowerment.
PROJECT STRATEGY:
Overall, the project strategy aims to empower women's CSOs, enhance women's participation in decision-making processes, raise awareness about gender equality issues, and foster collaboration between civil society and the public sector to advance women's rights and promote positive social change.
ACTIVITIES:
A 1. Organization of Capacity Building activities for 5 women CSO’s A 1.1. Identification of women, Women CSOs and other non-formal groups A1.2. Organization of trainings on managing groups and projects; active lobbying and advocacy campaigning – CSOs and vulnerable women related A.2. Meetings and coordination with Municipalities, local communities (women) and Women CSOs in order to establish and operationalization of W-CEC. A2.1. Meetings with municipal authorities and signing the MoUs - A.2.2. Establishment and Operationalization of W-CECs A.3. Implementation of the events and training program in 3 W-CEC (at least 90 events)- A 3.1. Identification and selection of the Themes to be addressed during info session A.3.2. Organization of events in W-CECs A.3.3. Organization of 6 advocacy and awareness campaigns for Gender Equality A 3.4. Developing three short documentaries/testimonials of women A 4. RESULTS:
1. Increased capacities of 20 representatives from 5 CSOs, working on gender equality, human rights and women empowerment; 2. Provision of adequate infrastructure (premises) for education, reflection and socialization for women from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds; 3. Empowerment of 150 Women (between 18-65 years old, including at least 30 victims of human rights violations), through the organization of participatory events and programs; 4. 540 citizens in 3 targeted municipalities reached as part of the advocacy and awareness campaigns; 5. Strengthened dialogue between the public sector and CSOs in the project municipalities resulting from the 2 round tables, consultations and the joint development of 3 Policy Briefs on Gender Equality.
