- Youth (18-30 years of age) from Kosovo and Serbia (more than 1,000 young people directly engaged), - Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) with special focus on youth working throughout Kosovo and Serbia (more than 50 CSOs directly engaged) - Community members in Kosovo and Serbia (more than 100,000 included indirectly engaged).

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

Contribute towards improved participatory democracies and reconciliation through empowering civil society’s role and enabling a structured cooperation and dialogue between the people of Kosovo and Serbia in order to strengthen their path towards EU integration.

PROJECT PURPOSES:

Specific Objective 1. Improve relations and communication between the people of Kosovo and Serbia through establishing a structured people-to-people intercultural dialogue in order to empower them in enabling a real normalisation process. Specific Objective 2. Engage youth as champions of positive changes towards normalisation of cross-border relations at community level.

ACTIVITIES:

Activity Cluster 1: (A1.1) 6 youth exchanges and 2 storytelling workshops on dealing with the past, (A1.2) 4 human rights and advocacy trainings, (A1.3) 4 multimedia exhibitions around Kosovo and Serbia, (A1.4) A cross-border internship program. Activity Cluster 2: (A2.1) North Kosovo-Presevo Valley small granting scheme with 10 grants up to 5,000 for cross-border initiatives of youth and grassroots CSOs in the border towns, (A2.2) 2 networking events organised in the North of Kosovo and Presevo Valley, (A2.3) An interactive map of cross-border CSOs. Activity Cluster 3: (A3.1) Establishment of the Generation Peace Activists Network, (A3.2) Online meetings of the Network, (A3.3) A two-day high level conference in Pristina on youth and reconciliation process between Kosovo and Serbia

RESULTS:

Result cluster 1: 1.1 Up to 120 young people participated in cross-border exchanges, learnt storytelling techniques and created stories on dealing with the past issues 1.2 Up to 300 people visited the multimedia exhibitions created by the participants of the storytelling workshops; 1.3. Up to 60 young people are trained on human rights and advocacy 1.4. Twenty (20) young professionals further developed their professional background through the cross-border internship program. Result cluster 2: 2.1 Ten (10) cross-border youth initiatives implemented through innovative approaches have increased inter-cultural understanding and trust among people in the border town communities; 2.2 Up to 100 young people attended networking events; 2.3 One (1) map of cross-border CSOs was created. Result cluster 3: 3.1 More than 100 young people became part of the Generation Peace Activists Network 3.2 Up to 9 meetings organised 3.3 Up to 100 Kosovo and Serbia youth and decision makers attended a high level conference in Pristina
